Chamber CEO, Ananda Sweet
Ananda Sweet began her tenure as the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber's CEO in November 2024.
Sweet brings years of impactful leadership, having spearheaded programs like the Employer Supported Child Care initiative and Leadership Santa Rosa. With a bold vision and commitment to collaboration, she aims to strengthen member value, drive strategic growth, and create lasting impact for the community.
Ananda Sweet is the Chief Executive Officer of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a visionary, solutions-oriented leader dedicated to enacting meaningful change through responsive programming, community initiatives, and impactful public policy.
Prior to stepping into the CEO role, Sweet served as the Chamber’s Vice President of Public Policy and Workforce Development, where she spearheaded key initiatives, including the Employer Supported Child Care program and the organization’s State and Local Policy Platform. She has played a pivotal role in strengthening Chamber legacy programs such as the Mike Hauser Academy for STEM and Leadership Santa Rosa.
Throughout her career, Sweet has been committed to building cross-sector partnerships and fostering collaboration between the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to support economic and workforce development and impactful public policy and community initiatives. Her leadership has been instrumental in advocating for early childhood education investments, family-friendly workplace policies, and stakeholder education on the return on investment for workforce development. She serves on multiple boards and committees, including the Sonoma County Workforce Investment Board, the U.S. Chamber’s Early Childhood Education Task Force, and as President of Our Kids, Our Future, a nonprofit advocacy organization advancing policies that prioritize the needs of children and families.
As CEO, Sweet has outlined a strategic vision focused on membership growth and retention, team alignment and development, and driving forward initiatives that enhance member value and create lasting community impact. With a deep commitment to fostering a thriving business environment and regional prosperity, she is dedicated to stewarding the Chamber’s legacy while championing new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and innovation.
