Kaiser Permanente appoints new Director of Spiritual Care for the Marin-Sonoma Service Area
Kaiser Permanente recently announced the appointment of Raymond Dougherty to the position of director of spiritual care for the Marin-Sonoma Service Area.
Raymond, who earned an MA in theology from the University of San Francisco, has over fourteen years' experience providing palliative and inpatient chaplaincy services. He completed his Clinical Pastoral Education at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and served as a CPE supervisory candidate at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He also served as a staff chaplain at O’Connor Hospital in San Jose, where he specialized in palliative care in the ICU and ED and led the Pastoral Visiting and Spiritual Care Field Education programs.
Raymond has worked at Kaiser Permanente since 2013. He will be transitioning from his current role of palliative care chaplain on November 13.
