Founded 52 years ago by parents determined to create an alternative to institutionalization for their children with disabilities; Becoming Independent (BI) has evolved to become one of the largest and strongest organizations serving adults with developmental disabilities in San Francisco’s North Bay. With a budget of $14 million and a staff of 235, BI offers a wide range of wraparound supports from which to choose.
BI is seeking a Chief of Operations to contribute their talents to this innovative and socially impactful organization. The Young Professionals Network named us “Business of the Year” and BI was named by North Bay Business Journal as one of the “Best Places to Work” for seven years and counting.
