Library Launches Spanish-language Streaming Platform
Dig into a plethora of Spanish-language entertainment with Sonoma County Library’s new platform The Shelf. The Shelf is a streaming video collection of Spanish-language movies and TV series with premium content from Latin America and Spain. The Kids Zone includes podcasts, eAudiobooks, games and acclaimed animated shows.
“Whether you want to watch movies and TV shows in your native language or are looking to brush up on your Spanish skills, The Shelf has something for all ages,” said Sonoma County Library Director Erika Thibault. “Start streaming Spanish-language content today on your favorite device, all you need is a Sonoma County Library card!”
Sonoma County Library patrons receive six movie credits per month with unlimited access to the rest of the content. The movie credit amount resets on the first of the month. Videos are available for 48 hours of streaming after selection. Learn more about The Shelf at sonomalibrary.org/shelf.
Sonoma County Library also offers Spanish-language content through hoopla, including eBooks and eAudiobooks, and Kanopy, a streaming movie collection. Don't forget that MakeMake offers interactive Spanish-language kid’s eBooks licensed for educational use in the classroom and at home.
