North Bay Credit Union offering $5,000 in scholarships

North Bay Credit Union wants to help all students have a chance to succeed in their chosen career. “With so much interest in infrastructure jobs, we wanted to be sure to also assist students attending trade and tech schools with scholarships,” said CEO Chris Call.

The Credit Union is awarding five $1,000 scholarships to residents of Sonoma, Marin, Napa, or Solano counties. Students will be evaluated on their educational performance, extracurricular activities, and financial need. These are available to those attending accredited university, college, tech school, or specialized educational course with a field of study related to technical or trade services.

“As a parent of college-age students, I know firsthand how important scholarships can be in bringing down the cost of education,” Call said. He noted that the Credit Union has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships as part of its mission to invest in the next generation.

North Bay CU has $100 million in assets and offers a full range of loans, including mortgages, vehicle loans, home equity loans, agricultural loans and private student loans. The credit union is federally insured by the NCUA and serves everyone who lives, works or worships in Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Solano counties.
