Santa Rosa Symphony hires 20-year finance veteran Kathleen Gebhardt as Director of Finance & Adminstration
The Santa Rosa Symphony welcomes 20-year finance veteran Kathleen Gebhardt as its new Director of Finance & Administration. Gebhardt comes from a background in the healthcare industry, most recently as Director of Finance for Petaluma Health Center.
A Symphony season subscriber, Gebhardt says, "I was immediately drawn to the Symphony’s Finance Director position because of my love of music, and my great respect for the amazing talent of the conductor, the musicians and everyone behind the scenes. The Symphony gives me the sense of satisfaction of supporting those who provide the beauty of music and educational opportunities to our community."
“Gebhardt is a consummate professional—capable, knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. She will be a welcome addition to the team,” said President & CEO Alan Silow.
Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Gebhardt's family moved to nearby Cedar Lake when she was in the fifth grade, where she enjoyed fishing, swimming, water skiing and driving fast boats. Exploring her interest in music, she played clarinet in high school band, sang soprano in the choir and taught herself how to play guitar. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Western Governors University in Salt Lake. A job transfer brought her to Santa Rosa, after spending 11 years in Pasadena.
Also a budding amateur photographer, Gebhardt photographs wildlife and landscapes with her fairly-new "real" camera and hopes to return to jewelry making soon. Gebhardt lives in Petaluma.
