Steele and Hops Public House opens full bar and launches stellar cocktail list
The bar is hopping with an exclusive cocktail list, an in-house beer, NFL Ticket specials and Oktoberfest specials
Steele & Hops Public House, a casual family-owned restaurant and bar on Mendocino and Steele, has added a unique cocktail menu and an in-house beer to their already popular beer and wine offerings. Steele & Hops also serves wines from local vineyards in Sonoma and Napa Counties and also offers four wines on tap.
Steele & Hops Public House’s full selection of spirits and signature cocktails are designed to be a focused selection with comfortable favorites as well as some less common brands from smaller distillers. Their cocktail list is based on their homemade bitters, syrups and infusions. All of their tequilas and mezcals are produced from 100% agave and they carry more than one dozen spirits from local distillers within 50 miles of Santa Rosa. Their cocktail list includes carefully selected premium spirits created from original recipes with exclusive ingredients.
The inaugural Steele and Hops beer will be finished fermenting during the first week of October, when they will be pouring the signature beer directly from their tank. Their first offering, a Blonde Ale, will be similar to the German Kolsch. This style is a lager brewed at ale temperatures, giving this beer a light body that is softly dry hopped.
Santa Rosa will be celebrating the world’s largest beer fest during Steele & Hops’ Oktoberfest celebration. With dishes like smoked bratwurst and a warm pretzel with house beer cheese sauce, guests will enjoy the seasonal German beer selection, as well as their 20 taps of craft beers on draft.
Another opportunity to check out Steele and Hops restaurant and bar is on Sundays with their full NFL Sunday Ticket package with 7 flat screens, beer at happy hour prices and free WiFi. Steele & Hops Public House opens at 10:00 every Sunday to share some of their favorite breakfast recipes with their football fans. Signature breakfast specials include their chorizo, egg and fresh salsa breakfast pizza and their cheddar, egg and bacon sandwich. All of these specials can be enjoyed with a mimosa, Irish coffee or Signature Bloody Mary, made with their own house steak sauce.
“We are passionate about what we do. Our thoughtfully designed cocktails offer our guests a mix of modern and classic cocktails using modern techniques,” states Cully Williamson, owner of Steele and Hops Public House. He adds, “When we first saw this location, we knew we wanted to ferment our own beer and offer Santa Rosa a lively neighborhood bar. My son, Chase, has been bartending throughout the Bay Area for many years. We are bringing his San Francisco bartending talent to the food and drink scene here in Santa Rosa,” Williamson states.
Steele & Hops Public House is located at 1901 Mendocino at Steele in the Redwood Plaza Shopping Center, just a few blocks from the Santa Rosa Junior College. Dine-in or take-out for lunch and dinner daily is available.
