Position Summary:
TLC Child and Family Services is seeking a full-time (32 hours) person for our Transition Age Youth Housing Programs located in Santa Rosa, CA. Come work with a dynamic team to provide maintenance for properties supporting young adults (16-25), who are transitioning from foster care or homelessness to independent living. This position works closely with the Program Director, Housing Director, and THP Housing Support Specialist. This position is instrumental in supporting our Transitional Housing properties to ensure ongoing maintenance and safety compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Complete detailed maintenance cleaning and deep move out cleaning of residential properties\
- Move furniture and other household items
- Assist with coordinating and picking up donations
- Support in organization of storage spaces
- Complete minor household repairs
- Complete walkthroughs to assess properties for damages and safety
- Perform tasks related to property management including meeting vendors
- Assist the Housing Support Specialist as needed
Applied Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain organization of tasks and work autonomously
- Ability to take direction and work as a team
- Demonstrate capacity to work among youth participants and remain respectful of spaces
- Attention to detail
- Clear communication skills
- Maintain flexibility with changing needs and timelines
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to learn and execute deep cleaning methods
Qualifications:
- Maintenance, cleaning and/or moving experience preferred
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, crouch, reach, and stand up to 6 hours a day
- Obtain and maintain fingerprint, government and agency required background clearances, without additional exemptions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screen
- Must have safe personal vehicle with clean driving record and valid CA driver license
- Meet and maintain the minimum vehicle liability and property insurance limits
Wage range: $20.83-$23.83 per hour
