California Competes Tax Credit Application Period Opens

GO-Biz, the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, has opened the application period for an income tax credit for businesses who invest and create new jobs in California, and the Sonoma County Economic Development Board would like to help your business take advantage of important tax credits and hiring incentives. Since the inception of this program, the EDB has assisted local businesses in obtaining $70 million in tax credits, exemptions, and training subsidies.

• Workforce issues- finding qualified employees, on the job training, and hiring incentives

The application period is open from July 30 through August 20, 2018.

California Competes Tax Credit Webinar Information

Prior to each application period, GO-Biz hosts online webinars about the California Competes Tax Credit program. Each webinar consists of a 45-minute presentation, followed by a question and answer session. Each presentation includes the following:

• Overview of the program
• Program goals and evaluation criteria
• Step-by-step instructions through the application process
