Pursuant to the Chamber's mission — to support, promote, and advocate for our members and create a vibrant, sustainable economy in our region — the Board has outlined these Strategic Objectives for 2013:
- Support BEST in the creation of 2,500 new jobs in Sonoma County through the implementation of its Strategic Plan;
- Support revenue growth for our hospitality members and the whole community through the leadership of the CVB and the use of BIA and other funds to implement an aggressive sales and marketing program that increases occupancy in Santa Rosa hotels, encourages spending by visitors, bolsters our local economy and meets revenue targets specified in its Strategic Plan;
- Nurture a pro business environment in our community by implementing the Strategic Plan of the Advocacy Council;
- Strategically improve our workforce by implementing WHEEL and the Mike Hauser Algebra Academy and by pursuing funding to support our being the “voice of business” in the workforce development arena.
