Convention & Visitors Bureau Helps Major Events Draw Thousands to Santa Rosa
Last weekend's events brought more than 35,000 people into Sonoma County and sold out more than 30 hotels. The Santa Rosa Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is proud to have helped sponsor and provide hospitality assistance to all of these events, again bringing many people together for a variety of activities in our "Place of Plenty":
- The Green Music Center’s Grand Opening with the Santa Rosa Symphony's 85th Season;
- Levi’s GranFondo with 7,500 cyclists riding on Saturday;
- Santa Rosa Mile, Flat Track Motorcycle racing returned to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds after a 42 year absence;
- The Sonoma County Harvest Fair awards dinner, revealing the winners among 950 wines on Saturday night.
With the two cycling events happening on the same date, the Santa Rosa City Council issued a proclamation declaring the weekend of September 28-30, 2012 Two-Wheel Weekend.
