Economic Development Collaboration Results in Job Growth and Investment for Sonoma County
Synergy Health will be leasing space within the new Labcon Building in Petaluma. Attracting this business is the result of a collaborative effort between one of the region's largest manufacturers, medical device manufacturer Labcon, Sonoma County BEST, the City of Petaluma, and PG&E.
"The services Synergy Health will offer will be a key to expanding medical device manufacturing in Sonoma County and all of the North Bay," said Jim Happ, President of Labcon. "For years, our vision has been to bring companies together at one site that are complementary in terms of the values they exhibit, the products they produce or services they provide to the manufacturing community. Having Synergy Health commit to Petaluma is exactly what we envisioned for the site."
The new Petaluma location will be providing solutions to industries in the medical devices and pharmaceuticals, specialized applications and contamination control sectors.
In addition to introducing Synergy Health to potential customers, Sonoma County BEST connected the company with PG&E who worked to offer rate incentives to help them make the decision. The City of Petaluma is working to assure the business can operate in the Labcon building.
Synergy Health attended the recent Sonoma County BEST Tech Supplier Fair to meet with local manufacturers and potential customers brought together by Sonoma County BEST.
"Synergy Health brings resources and capabilities many advanced manufacturers in the region will utilize. This type of company acts as a catalyst in an already growing life science and medical device sectors in Sonoma County," says Carolyn Stark, Executive Director of Sonoma County BEST.
