Final Design Approval for Courthouse Square Reunification
Late last night, a final design to reunify Courthouse Square won unanimous approval from the Santa Rosa City Council. Before the final vote, the public comment period saw a strong turnout of downtown merchants and property owners voicing their support for the plan, calling it critical to creating a vibrant core to the city. This morning, signs of progress could already been seen as areas were fenced off and crews continued test boring work as the project advances toward revitalizing the economic heart of Santa Rosa.
The Santa Rosa Chamber is committed to re-activating Santa Rosa’s downtown in partnership with downtown businesses and property owners. Work with the Coalition to Restore Courthouse Square and the formation of a Downtown Advisory Board show the Chamber’s continued engagement and leadership in addressing critical issues that impact economic development and the quality of life for those who work, play and live downtown.
