In the Know: IRONMAN in Courthouse Square, July 26-30

The IRONMAN Village in Courthouse Square is the center of the event weekend, offering a great opportunity for athletes and the public to interact with official IRONMAN partners and vendors, and to pick up final race day essentials. We invite you to come downtown and feel the energy.

On Thursday, July 27th there is an IRONKIDS fun run at 5:00pm open for kids aged 3 to 13 featuring distances of one-half mile and one mile. More information on IRONKIDS. From 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday is the Welcome Ceremony with live music and the voice of IRONMAN, Mike Reilly, followed by free movie night on the square featuring Breaking Away. The movie starts at 9:00pm. Bring your blanket or lawn chair. Beer and wine will be available for sale. Outside alcohol is not permitted.

Saturday is race day with activities and athlete transitions all day in Courthouse Square. The first finishers should come in around 3:00pm with the peak viewing times at 6:30-9:30pm. And if you want to be inspired, make sure you're there to root on the athletes between 11:00pm and midnight.
