Investing in child care supports economic growth
In December, Santa Rosa Metro Chamber CEO Ananda Sweet joined leaders from across the country at the National Child Care Innovation Summit: Business Leaders in Action to spotlight how businesses can be powerful drivers of change through investment in child care.

Hosted in Washington, D.C. by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation in partnership with Executives Partnering to Invest in Children (EPIC), this exclusive, invite-only event brought together business leaders for a series of engaging sessions designed to inspire actionable solutions in their communities.
Recently, EPIC published a podcast of the session featuring Ananda alongside Kathy Szenda Wilson and Maria Ortiz Borden of Pulse at the W.E. Upjohn Institute, and David Duro of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA.
In the discussion, Sweet shares how the Metro Chamber is advancing local efforts to align workforce needs with child care solutions—ultimately strengthening both business and community.
