Jobs Added, Goals Met: An Update on Sonoma County BEST
Sonoma County BEST has surpassed its 2013 goal for job growth by helping businesses in Sonoma County add 502 direct jobs so far this year for a total of 1605 direct and indirect jobs in two years -- 40% of its five year goal.
"Our work with the target industry groups in engaging business to business connections has been key, as has the work of our economic development partners around the region who have come together to work with us on obstacles to growth," said Carolyn Stark, Executive Director of Sonoma County BEST. "A focus on making our North Bay region competitive for business is the work of many partners and will make the difference in ensuring economic vitality for Sonoma County."
Year to date, Sonoma County BEST also has fielded 492 Business Assistance Requests and has conducted Business Retention and Expansion outreach to 150 companies.
