Leadership Santa Rosa Class 41 Pre-Tour at Canine Companions

Leadership Santa Rosa Class 41 got a head start on Human Services Day with a special pre-tour at Canine Companions. As they prepare to explore Sonoma County’s essential services, LSR members had the opportunity to learn about the incredible work that goes into training service dogs. From live demonstrations to touring the new Nelson Schulz Canine Health & Wellness Center—and even watching puppies play in the family socialization room—this visit provided valuable insight into an organization changing lives.
Celebrating 50 years of service, Canine Companions continues to refine its approach to breeding, raising, selecting, and training exceptional service dogs. With a mission to improve the lives of people with disabilities, they provide expertly trained service dogs and ongoing support—completely free of charge.
