Over a hundred Chamber members gathered at last week’s Wake Up Santa Rosa City Council Candidates Forum. The six candidates running for four available seats answered questions on rent control, housing, homelessness and transportation. The Chamber’s PAC uses this event as part of their selection process to endorse city council candidates. At the culmination of the breakfast, guests were provided ballots and voted, providing more feedback for Chamber PAC committee members.
Prior to the event, city council candidates interviewed with members of the Chamber PAC, having more in depth discussions on issues facing our city. Members of the PAC also interviewed candidates running for Santa Rosa City Schools Board of Education, and plan to interview candidates for Santa Rosa Junior College Board of Trustees. All Chamber PAC recommended endorsements will go to the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors on Tuesday, September 27, for approval.
