LSR 38 raises money for nonprofits at Human Services Day

In July, LSR class 38 learned about the Human Services resources available to all in Santa Rosa and around the county. Six local nonprofit organizations were brought in to do a five-minute presentation on their organization and their cause. The idea behind this was to expose the class to different non-profits in the area and have them cast a vote for their favorite non-profit to receive a prize of $500 (and runners-up to receive $100). The class was able to raise an additional $2000 to split amongst the non-profits. The class left that day feeling inspired and grateful that they are in a position to make a difference in their community.
