Message from Chamber Board Chair, Judy James
Dear Chamber Members,
On behalf of the Chamber, I wanted to extend our heartfelt sympathies and consolation to each and every one of you, your families and your employees. This past week has been a difficult time for our entire community, particularly for those who have lost homes or businesses and those who have been displaced, even temporarily.
We extend our commitment to work with you and all members of our community to re-build. As you know, our Chamber was born in the rubble of the 1906 earthquake. Re-building is in our genetic make-up, and we promise to once again organize efforts to assist all of our members and be an integral part in helping repair our economy.
Resources
On behalf of the business community, we’ve already begun that effort. In reaching out to members, our staff discovered that many have no place to work as they have lost houses or offices. Offering a place to convene, we have created workspace in our office for those that need it. Our website will continue to be a source of information for businesses as we begin to recover. It provides links to programs that have been established to assist your business and offers of assistance from the business community. Additionally, we will be developing workshops at the Chamber to provide resources for managing fire related issues such as insurance claims and tax benefits.
Participate
Most importantly, we are already in conversation with other business organizations and city and county officials to discuss how we begin to re-build. Our focus, of course, will be on the particular challenges faced by businesses in our community and supporting the community as we navigate these difficult times together. We will be sure to invite you to participate in our efforts if you are able.
In short, our Chamber continues to be here for you and our community. As you work to cope with the consequences of the fires for your company, we’ll be hard at work on behalf of the entire business community to ensure that while you focus on getting back to business, we will be playing an active role in repairing our economy.
Our mission
Now, more than ever, our Chamber is committed to our mission of convening members and community, empowering them, and acting to create a connected and vibrant business climate. From each member to every program and volunteer, in downtown Santa Rosa or the region, we will continue to shape the future of living and doing business here, the place we call home.
We look forward to your continued support of our Chamber and your volunteer efforts.
Together we will renew. We are resilient. We are strong. Best wishes to you and yours,
Judy James, Santa Rosa Metro Chamber Board Chair

Businesses Offering Assistance
As part of our service to members, we are putting together a list of resources that we can offer the business community. Many member and area businesses have already submitted offers of assistance. View the list at SantaRosaMetroChamber.com/fire/#assistance.
If your business is offering assistance – whether it’s critical information, special pricing, or hosting a fundraiser event - we would love to help spread the word: SantaRosaMetroChamber.com/AssistRecovery
