In a collaboration of local business and education partners, the Chamber's Mike Hauser Algebra Academy will launch its 2015 summer program next Monday.
The three week program is held at area businesses where students are able to learn algebra standards and their application to high-tech real-world situations, interview engineers and technical experts, and participate in activities related to each host business. This year's program is expanding to include students and local businesses from the Sebastopol and Rohnert Park-Cotati areas.
The goals of the Mike Hauser Algebra Academy are to support English Language Learner students in graduating from high school and to encourage them to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
