Providing State Connections for Manufacturers
The Chamber's Economic Development Initiative is helping companies build connections with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to spur economic development and job creation efforts in our area.
On August 3, the Chamber brought Gil Gonzales of GO-Biz to a Food Industry Group meeting to talk about the state’s programs. After the meeting, it was apparent that there was a need for one-on-one consultations to discuss companies’ specific needs and interests.
"Like many other communities in California, the North Bay is experiencing significant economic growth and enjoying new company investments," said GO-Biz senior business development specialist Gil Gonzales. "As a GO-Biz representative dedicated to the Bay Area, I want to ensure companies in the North Bay have access to all the state resources and incentives available to them."
The Chamber is organizing several days in September where Gil will be meeting with a number of local manufacturers to ensure they can take advantage of a range of services and incentives that GO-Biz offers.
