Re-growing our economy together
Your Chamber is focused on helping businesses and their employees in responding to this crisis, and we will be sending daily updates with resources and information.
Now more than ever we encourage you to support our local business community and their employees - consider shopping at local retailers for items that you would typically purchase online. Many local businesses are open but short staffed, and we encourage you to be kind as everyone is doing their best to support each other during this trying time.
Stories of neighbors helping neighbors have been filtering in. Restaurants have been feeding first responders and evacuees. Hotels, inns, and vacation rentals have opened their doors throughout the impacted areas and beyond.
As part of our service to members, we are putting together a list of resources that we can offer the business community. If your business is offering assistance – whether it’s critical information, special pricing, or hosting a fundraiser event - we would love to help spread the word.

As we reach out to members, we’re hearing that some have lost either personal home-office space or business space. If you’ve been affected, we can offer you a place to work with internet connectivity and power. For the next two weeks, the Chamber is opening our Board Room from 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Friday, and the Kerry Rego Consulting workstation is available by reservation: call (707) 545-1414 for scheduling. Our California Welcome Center, run by Visit Santa Rosa, also has meeting space available in the Rose Room: call (707) 577-8674 for scheduling.
Visit Santa Rosa Update
The staff of Visit Santa Rosa are beginning an assessment of affected tourism related businesses. While many businesses are eager to welcome back locals and visitors alike, we are not quite ready to send the all clear message to potential visitors, given that many of our hotels and resources are otherwise catering to evacuees and first responders. With that said we are not discouraging anyone who is interested in visiting and our main message for travelers is if you’ve planned a trip to the area, please contact your lodging provider before traveling, to see if it’s located in an affected area. We are keeping all information regarding traveling to Santa Rosa and Sonoma County up-to-date at VisitSantaRosa.com/fire.
In order to support our tourism related businesses during this time, we have created a hospitality job board on our website. This will be updated as we receive new information from our partners. If you have any available positions that you would like listed, please email them to Amanda Moreland
