Santa Rosa Metro Chamber Names New Vice President of Marketing & Communications
The Santa Rosa Metro Chamber (SRMC) welcomes Janelle Meyers as new Vice President of Marketing & Communications.

“Janelle has a background in marketing and communications in the private sector as well as with Mendocino College most recently,” says SRMC CEO Peter Rumble. “At the college, she was responsible for integrating the institution's many diverse marketing and communications efforts into a unified and streamlined process – a task in front of her here at SRMC.”
In her new role, Meyers will lead SRMC’s destination marketing team (Visit Santa Rosa - VSR) and integrate and align all of SRMC's marketing and communications efforts so that Downtown Santa Rosa, VSR, and the Chamber all support each other more effectively.
Since 2018, Meyers served as the Director of Community Relations and Communication for Mendocino College, where she oversaw the institution’s Marketing and Public Information Department. At Mendocino, Meyers led all internal and external marketing and communications efforts and projects for the district including; crisis communications, diversity, equity, and inclusion, enrollment and event marketing, government and public relations, website content management, and a brand re-design. She also spearheaded the implementation of the district’s first internal social media, event, and marketing policies. Meyers’ has a strong understanding of the importance of collaborative work and soliciting input from a diverse group of stakeholders to accomplish high level goals. She led and sat on several committees at Mendocino College including; Planning and Budgeting, Presidents Policy Advisory, Enrollment Management, and Marketing and Outreach. Meyers was very involved in the Mendocino community during her time in Ukiah, was a 2019 graduate of Leadership Mendocino and served on the board of the Ukiah Rotary Club.
“Supporting a community I care about has always been a fulfilling endeavor for me,” says Meyers. “I’m thrilled to return to Sonoma County and tell the story of what this amazing region has to offer. I’m excited to use my passion for communication to promote the diverse and inspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives in the Santa Rosa area. This is an exciting time for SRMC, we now have the tools we need to advance our mission, which is to support, promote, and advocate for our members and create a vibrant, sustainable economy.”
Prior to her time at Mendocino College, Meyers lived in Sonoma and Marin County for 10 years. During and after college, she worked in the hospitality industry and then went on to begin her career in marketing in the private sector in consumer product goods.
Meyers’ educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a Masters in Business Administration from Spring Arbor University. Meyers is a mother of two young boys and has a strong passion for fitness and nutrition.
