Update on Downtown Action

Last month downtown property owners voted to establish a Community Benefit District to deliver enhanced services in the downtown area through the Downtown Action Organization (DAO). Since that time the DAO has been moving forward, establishing bylaws and creating an organizational structure that will serve as the foundation for this work.

In the coming months, the DAO will formalize a work plan for enhanced services that supplement existing city services. This plan is aimed at keeping downtown Santa Rosa clean, safe and attractive, telling the story of downtown and its special events and programs, and attracting new investment and development.

These efforts will continue to build on improvements like the reunified Courthouse Square, investing in the greater downtown area with visible enhancements and making downtown Santa Rosa an ideal city hub and the heart and soul of this region.
