YPN Member Spotlight: Keila Hernandez of Sonoma Clean Power

YPN member spotlights are a quick introduction to some of our favorite YPN members. This month, we're spotlighting Keila Hernandez, Customer Service Representative at Sonoma Clean Power.
What brought you to Sonoma County, and why did you join YPN? –
In 2017, I was offered a position at the bank I worked for, which led me to move from Corte Madera to Santa Rosa. I joined YPN in 2021 because I wanted to expand my network within Sonoma County. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the Santa Rosa community and all the wonderful people who contribute to its vibrancy.
What is your favorite YPN memory, and why?
One of my favorite memories was joining the YPN Book Club in 2022. The wonderful women in the group reignited my passion for reading, and it was such a rewarding experience connecting with them over shared stories and ideas.
Share with us a fun fact that not many people know about!
I can fully speak Pig Latin, but only in Spanish, which is known as Jerigonza.
If you could accomplish anything, professionally, academically, or personally, what would it be?
Personally, and professionally, my goal is to leave a lasting impact on our community, helping to make it a safer and better place for future generations. Creating a positive change that benefits everyone would be incredibly fulfilling.
What are your favorite Sonoma County/Santa Rosa activities?
I love going on date nights with my husband at The Barlow and El Mitote, where we can enjoy delicious food and sometimes live music. It’s a great spot to unwind! As a family, we enjoy the kid-friendly hikes at Howarth Park—perfect for a picnic and spending quality time together in nature.
