Housing Development
The Santa Rosa Metro Chamber and the North Coast Builders Exchange formed a permanent Employers Housing Council (EHC), convening the region’s major employers to preserve and protect the economic vitality of Sonoma County by advancing and stimulating housing across the market spectrum through accountability, creative policy development, and project support.
While the EHC will support rebuild efforts of other existing groups, it will focus on the larger, and longer term, housing development needed to address the pre-disaster housing crisis.
Sonoma County Housing Fund
The Sonoma County Housing Fund, a partnership between the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber and Housing Trust Silicon Valley, is a collaborative effort to bring critically needed affordable housing to the region. The $10 million initiative is modeled after the successful Monterey Bay Housing Trust with the Metro Chamber working to secure and deploy local investments to assist with the affordable housing creation while Housing Trust underwrites, approves, and administers the loans.
